Exchange Programs

Students of the FUB Master's program Biochemistry are encouraged to conduct parts of their studies abroad. Our faculty is prepared to support you in planning and organizing your international studies and research. You can go abroad for a semester or conduct one or more Research Projects or research for your Master’s thesis at an international lab.

FUB, like most European universities, participates in the exchange program Erasmus+, which is ideal if you plan to go abroad for a semester. FUB Biochemistry collaborates with a number of partner universities, which facilitates such an exchange. Additionally, there is a possibility to initiate new partnerships if you have a specific university in mind. For completing a Research Project or conduct research for your Master’s thesis abroad, you can basically apply to any university, research institute or company that would offer a suitable project. Erasmus+ also supports internships in most European countries.

FUB, in cooperation with the German and EU governments, offers scholarships that provide financial support and can help you to get along in your new surroundings. Apart from Erasmus+ (see above), you can check out the German Academic Exchange Service, DAAD, or the PROMOS program if you want to go to a country outside the EU. The list of organizations offering scholarships is long.
